Christmas time is marked on everyone's calendar on the 25th of December. It comes at the end of the year and the beginning of Winter. It also kicks off the start of the New Year as well. People all alround the world celebrate this day and proclaim that this is the day the World's Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born. The tradition for gift giving started back in the b.c. era. When Christ was bron on the manger to Mary and Joseph, the three wisemen from Bethlehem followed the North Star to bear gifts to the Savior who was born unto the World. This was the foundation that started the tradition of exchanging gifts with your loved ones.
Althugh most people think Christmas time is just a time to give and receive gifts, but not to me. To me Christmas time has always been special to me, not for giving or receiving gifts, but a precious, monumental time to tell the ones and express to them how much you love them. Its people less fortunate in the World that cannot afford the expense to buy someone else a gift. There are many gifts you can give, but the most important one is Love. Love can be given at anytime or moment,place. Nothing makes me feel complete then to be able to show someone special to me how much I love them. Whether its your mother, father, sister,brother, cousin or friend, youn dont have to wait until one time of the year to give Love.
Love sets the tone and starts the foundation of friendships and relationships. Love revolves around everything you do in your life. dont believe me ask yourself this question,"what would happen if we lost our ability to know, experience or feel love?" Could you do it, I doubt it. For example, God doesnt make mistakes, he loved us so much that even though we dont deserve it. He sent he son on this hellish throne to be crucified so that we may have a chance to experience eternal life, sitting amongst him, God and the angels. If he didnt love us we would have been damned to hell. That's a pure act of love.
When a mother is pregnant and getting ready to push another being in this world with a divine purpose, it may take her life to accomplish this but its worth it. All the pain you go through in labor doesnt even matter when you can hear and look at whats been brewing in your stomach causing you all types of hormonal changes for 9 months just knowing that whatever your baby turns out to look, you love them instantly without a second thought. All the madness, hurt, pain and tears was worth it. Its worth it because you will always have that bond and special love. Pain doesnt even begin to fathom over the tears of joy you have for your new baby. Knowing you brought another life into this world is beautiful. This is an act of love.
So as you journey to this time that only occurs once a year, instead of spending I like to take the time to recollect about my loved ones and what they mean to me in my everyday Christmas Time.. Although I love to watch Christmas movies, listen to Christmas tunes and carols. Nothing makes me more happier than hearing my family, that's truly music to my ears. When you buy material things, no matter how well put together or taken care of they are something can happen. It can be destroyed and broken with a drop of a dime. But love is not easily broken, and sometimes it cant be replaced. By replacing I mean that no one person is the same even down to identical twins, they differentiate at some point. So your mother's love is exactly what it is a Mother's love, as well as your father or anyone else. So instead of giving material things this season, give the gift that keeps on giving. Tell the people you love in your life at the moment you feel it, dont wait because time is of the essence. When you fill like giving up on yourself and the world, you feel like your back is against the wall know that someone didnt make to wake up this morning and receive the gift you have life. Everyday God wakes you up in the morning is a present, but the gift is he loved you that much he allowed you to view the world again from your own eyes. To see and change things that you can. Remember if no one else does God Loves you and you do have a divine purpose-the giving and receiving of love. If more people would give the gift that keeps on giving called love, instead of AIDS and other fatal things...everyday would be Christmas to me.
